Sleeping Furts

Dad Day 2018

Happy dad day like any other ulterior hallmark consumer holiday.

Chickens

I drew/ painted some chckens at camp for some reason. I'm rather pleased with how they came out honestly.

This top one may even become a separate mixed media piece in the future.

Ferret Painting

I quickly re-did this quick painting of a ferret for a run down of a possible style for a book down the road. He's one disgruntled looking ferret.

One Eyed and Happy

Finished version of this commissioned painting.

Ivy + Kitty sketches

A ink warm up and a rough for a miscellaneous logo perhaps?

Inktober #1 Scout Eagle

Yeak I'm going to try to do this October ink drawing thing to pump out at least a doodle everyday.

Anubis Concept Work in Progress

Current digital painting fine lines and loose color study

Curious Fox and the Forest Door

Been meaning to post this days ago but time has been escaping me lately. I found out how much I love gessoed surfaces for watercolor and gouache washes, all those years of acrylic didn't shake off it seems.

My one regret isn't trying a more daring form of lighting, but I'm happy with the amount of polish and color I used in the end.

The title and illustration reminds me of an aesop fable.

Small Foxes Painting Progress

A small update on what I'm working on with a series of images: a concept sketch, a color study, and the final under-drawing on the actual final painting. Experimenting with canine forms, watercolor, and multi media, and the finished will be watercolor/ acrylic mixed media. The end product will hopefully be a starting point for a style guide for my own personal childrens book still being roughed out. (It involves ferrets, not foxes, but more on that later.)

Cloud leaves Postcard

Hey long time no post. Been busy with various concepting, writing, and sketching, but this managed to squeak by as a finished quick painting I might end up using soon. Mixed media, watercolor transferred into photoshop. UPDATE: fixed some color issues.
